1010 Collective (Pty) Ltd

Terms of business

The terms that apply when you use this website, accept a quote, buy a package or pay an invoice from 1010 Collective (Pty) Ltd, including its 1 Stop Media division. Last updated 12 October 2026.

Quotes

Every quote is fixed and itemised, so you can see what each line costs and what to keep or drop. A quote is valid for 30 days unless it says otherwise. Prices are in South African rand. 1010 Collective is not currently VAT registered, so no VAT is added.

Deposits and payment

Work starts once you accept the quote and the deposit is paid: 50% unless the quote says otherwise, with the balance due on delivery. Invoices are due by the date on the invoice. Pay by EFT using the invoice number as the reference, or by card from your portal through Yoco.

The clock

We put a number on every stage: 1010 minutes (about 17 hours) to your MVP preview from approval and deposit, then 10 days and 10 hours to live. The clock runs on our side of the work. It pauses while we wait on you for content, media or access, and anything that depends on someone else, such as an app store review or a payment gateway approval, runs on their clock. Your portal shows when it is paused and why.

Monthly services

Hosting & maintenance, retainers and other monthly services are billed at the start of each month they cover, on their own invoice, separate from once-off work. To stop one, tell us in writing; it ends at the end of the month already billed.

Changes and cancellations

Changes beyond the agreed scope are quoted before we do them. If you cancel before the work is finished, we invoice the work done up to that point, and refund anything you paid beyond it.

Costs that belong to others

Domain registrations, app store fees, payment gateway transaction fees and similar third-party charges are listed on your quote when they apply. For paid advertising, the ad budget is shown separately from our management fee.

Ownership

Once the project is paid in full, the code and the work we made for you are yours: host them with us or take them anywhere. What you give us (your logo, photos, wording) stays yours, and you confirm you have the right to let us use it for your project. We may show finished work in our client directory and portfolio unless you ask us not to.

Liability

We build carefully and test on real devices, but software and the services it relies on can fail. Our liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the work concerned in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act where it applies.

The law

These terms are governed by the law of South Africa. If they change, the version on this page applies from the date shown above; work already quoted keeps the terms it was quoted under.
