Ten steps, on a clock.
Websites, web apps and games all follow the same ten steps. We put a number on every stage and start the clock the moment you do.
Spec to live, on a clock.
Most agencies answer "how long will it take?" with a shrug and a range. We put a number on every stage, and we start the clock the moment you do.
- Full quote and proposal: 1010 minutes (about 17 hours) — from your spec landing — A fixed, itemised quote and a written proposal — every line priced, so you can see what to keep and what to drop.
- Working MVP preview: 1010 minutes (about 17 hours) — from approval and deposit — Not a mock-up or a slide deck. A clickable preview of your actual product, running, that you can pull apart and give feedback on.
- Live: 10 days & 10 hours (about 250 hours) — from your mvp preview — The real work: refining what you saw, wiring up integrations, securing and hardening it, and getting it launch-ready.
- The clock runs on our side of the work. It pauses while we are waiting on you for information, media, content or access to a third-party system — and anything that depends on somebody else, like an app store review or a payment gateway approval, runs on their clock, not ours.
Every website and web app runs the same ten steps.
- Before step 01: Spec it — 5 minutes — Tell us what you need on the spec form.
- Before step 01: Fixed quote — 1010 minutes — Itemised quote and proposal, about 17 hours.
- Before step 01: Deposit — you approve — Accept the quote and pay the deposit.
- 01 Discovery call — 1–2 hours — One to two hours on your business, your goals and your content.
- 02 MVP build — We build the working core of the real thing on MegaPixel.
- 03 MVP review call — Click through it and tell us what feels wrong while it is cheap to change.
- 04 Final draft — Your feedback built in and the rest of the content loaded.
- 05 Revisions & alterations — The last changes, made before anything goes live.
- 06 Security & bug testing — Tested on real devices, secured and reviewed.
- 07 Domain — Your address registered or connected, in your name.
- 08 SEO + search engine submission — Meta, sitemap and structured data, then submitted to the search engines.
- 09 Documentation, handover & launch — It goes live on your address and the keys are yours.
- 10 The loop — On to 1 Stop Media for marketing, and monthly 1010 services to keep it growing.
- The clock runs on our side of the work. It pauses while we are waiting on you for information, media, content or access to a third-party system — and anything that depends on somebody else, like an app store review or a payment gateway approval, runs on their clock, not ours.

Why you get to watch
We don’t hide our process, because we own our process.
Every layer of this is ours — the platform underneath, the code on top, the portal in between. Nothing is a reseller agreement we have to be vague about, and there is no partner margin we would rather you didn’t ask about. So we don’t manage what you get to see. You watch the build while it is being built, the quote arrives itemised line by line, the clock is published with the caveat that pauses it, and the code leaves with you at the end. Agencies hide process for one of two reasons: it belongs to somebody else, or it would not survive being looked at. Ours is neither.
- You watch it build — A live preview from day one, not a status email at the end of the week.
- Every line priced — A fixed, itemised quote — so you can see what to keep and what to drop.
- The caveat is printed — The clock stops when we are waiting on you, and we say so beside the promise.
- The code is yours — Documented and versioned. Host it with us or take it anywhere, no black box.
The engine, in one sentence

The words that come up, one line each
- Spec — Your description of what you want built. Our form turns it into one.
- Quote — The price, line by line. Fixed once you accept it.
- Scope — Our written understanding of what is in and what is out.
- Deposit — The part paid up front to start the build. The amount is on your quote.
- Preview — Your real website or app running at a private link, before it is finished.
- MVP — Minimum viable product — the first working version with the core of what you asked for.
- Go live — Putting the finished build on its real address where the public can reach it.
- Portal — Your login on this site: quotes, invoices, services, statement and support in one place.
- Ticket — A request or a problem you log in your portal, with a status you can follow.
- Retainer — A monthly plan: hosting, upkeep and a set number of hours for changes.
- Domain — Your address on the internet — yourbusiness.co.za. Always registered in your name.
- Hosting — The computer your website lives on, kept running, backed up and updated.
- SSL — The padlock in the browser. Included with our hosting.
- DNS — The settings that point your domain at your website and your email.
- CMS — The admin screen where you edit your own text and pictures.
- Web app — Software that runs in the browser behind a login — a booking system, a portal.
- Mobile app — Installed from the App Store or Play Store. Not always what you need.
- Integration — Connecting your site to another system so nothing is retyped.
- Backup — An automatic saved copy, so a mistake or a failure can be undone.
- Source of truth — The one place a fact lives. For our clients, the live build.
How it runs, answered
- How long does a project take?
- We put a number on it. A full quote and proposal within 1010 minutes of your spec landing. A working, clickable MVP preview within 1010 minutes of you approving the quote and paying the deposit. Then 10 days and 10 hours to live. The clock pauses while we are waiting on you for content, media or access to a third-party system, and anything that depends on someone else, like an app store review or a payment gateway approval, runs on their clock.
- How can a quote possibly come back that fast?
- Because the spec form does the hard part. By the time it reaches us we already know what you are building, what it has to do, where it must run and roughly what you want to spend, so we are pricing a scope rather than chasing one. And because we build on MegaPixel, we are quoting against work we have done the shape of before.
- What happens in the 10 days and 10 hours?
- Steps 04 to 09: the final draft with your feedback and the rest of your content, revisions and alterations, security and bug testing on real devices, your domain, SEO and search-engine submission, then documentation, handover and launch. You watch each step get ticked off in your portal.
- Do I own the code?
- Yes. Once the project is paid in full the code is yours: host it with us, or take it to another team. There is no lock-in and no proprietary black box you have to keep paying to stay inside. Most clients stay for the loop, not because they are locked in.
- What happens after launch?
- The loop starts: launch is the beginning, not the handover. Every package carries on with hosting and maintenance by the month (managed hosting, SSL, backups and updates), and clients who want to keep building add a retainer: a Forward Deployed Engineer, the same person every month, for the hours you choose. You raise changes as tickets in your portal and watch each one land on the live product.
- Can you take over a site somebody else built?
- Often, yes. We audit what is there first and tell you honestly whether it is worth maintaining, or whether rebuilding will cost you less over a year than patching it.
- Do you work outside Bloemfontein?
- We are based in Bloemfontein and work with clients across South Africa. The whole process, from spec to preview to sign-off, runs online. On-site work outside Bloemfontein is quoted with travel per kilometre, shown as its own line on the quote.
